This page describes how EzBiz Pro LLC uses SMS messaging, including how consent is collected, the types of messages sent, and how to opt out.

Overview

EzBiz Pro is an AI-powered CRM, scheduling, and invoicing platform built for trades and service businesses (lawn care, HVAC, plumbing, cleaning, and more). The platform operates two distinct SMS programs:

  • Account messages sent by EzBiz Pro directly to the business owner or team member who signed up (task reminders, verification codes, account alerts).
  • Customer messages sent on behalf of a business to its customers (appointment reminders, scheduling updates, service confirmations).

Both programs are transactional in nature. Marketing messages are only sent when separately opted into by the recipient.

Program 1: Account Messages (EzBiz Pro to You)

Who receives these messages

Business owners and team members who create an EzBiz Pro account.

Message types

  • Task reminders you schedule yourself (e.g., “Call Jane Doe,” “Follow up with Acme Corp”)
  • Verification codes for account security
  • Account alerts (billing notices, security notifications)

How you opt in

During account signup at ezbizpro.ai/signup, you enter your name, email, mobile phone number, and password, then check a required box agreeing to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. The signup page clearly discloses that by providing your mobile number you consent to receive transactional SMS (task reminders, verification codes, and account alerts), message frequency varies, message and data rates may apply, and you may reply STOP to opt out or HELP for assistance.

A separate, unchecked-by-default checkbox collects express opt-in for marketing messages (tips, promotions, product updates). Marketing messages are not sent unless this box is checked.

Program 2: Customer Messages (a Business to Its Customers)

Who receives these messages

Customers and leads of businesses that use EzBiz Pro. These individuals are NOT EzBiz Pro account holders—they are customers of the service business (e.g., a homeowner whose lawn care company uses EzBiz Pro).

Message types

  • Appointment reminders
  • Scheduling updates and confirmations
  • Service arrival notifications

How customers opt in

End users (customers of the service business) give their affirmative consent to the business that serves them, using one or more of the following methods:

  • Verbal consent— at the job site or over the phone, the technician or business owner asks “Can we text you appointment reminders at this number?” and records the customer’s affirmative response in the EzBiz Pro app along with a consent timestamp.
  • Paper intake form— the customer signs a service agreement that includes the disclosure: “By providing your mobile number, you agree to receive transactional SMS from [Business Name] including appointment reminders and scheduling updates. Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.”
  • Web intake form— the subscriber’s own website or an EzBiz Pro–hosted lead form contains a clearly labeled, unchecked checkbox collecting SMS consent with the same disclosure language.

Required subscriber disclosure

Every EzBiz Pro subscriber that sends SMS to customers is required to present the following disclosure at the point of consent collection:

“By providing your mobile number, you agree to receive transactional SMS from [Business Name] including appointment reminders and scheduling updates. Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help. See https://www.ezbizpro.ai/privacy for our Privacy Policy.”

Consent is captured and stored on a per-customer basis, tied to the specific business that owns the customer relationship. Mobile numbers and consent records are never shared between businesses.

Customer messages (appointment reminders)

Hi Mike, reminder: HVAC Tune-Up with Acme Heating on Apr 30, 2026 at 9:30 AM.

Opt-Out & Help

You can opt out of SMS at any time by replying with any of the following keywords:

Message Frequency & Rates

Message frequency varies by program and your activity. Most users receive between 1 and 30 messages per month. Task reminder messages are only sent for tasks you create and explicitly schedule a reminder on. Appointment reminder messages are only sent for appointments the business schedules.

No Third-Party Sharing

EzBiz Pro LLC and the businesses using EzBiz Pro do not sell, rent, share, or otherwise disclose mobile phone numbers or SMS opt-in data to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. SMS data is used solely to deliver transactional messages from the entity that collected the consent.
